– For many hidden agendas in the team.
When Kjell Tennfjord chose to withdraw after around 75 minutes as chairman of Fire, he announced simultaneously that Arild Christiansen, Tom Georg Olsen and Liv Grete Skjelbreid did the same.
Christiansen and Olsen were new on the board, and it was not unexpected that these would follow its chairman. Then it was more surprising that Skjelbreid, which was one of two directors who received renewed confidence of the Nominating Committee, decided to do the same. Now she explains why:
– I agreed to sit on the board because Fire has always been the club in my heart. I also had an ambition to contribute to a better performance culture. My impression now is that it is more a position orientation than an achievement orientation in the club. I have not managed to influence, and therefore I chose to draw me, she says.
– There are too many hidden agendas in the club, she adds.

Skjelbreid emphasizes that she does not have anything against former board colleague Janice Samnøy that person.
– It is important for me to clarify that this is not about Åshild person. She’s just kind, and moreover genuinely concerned Fire and the club’s history. I think she could have gone over bodies Fire, she says.
– Why did you choose to retire after the election, rather than tell the selection committee that you would not continue?
– I have no desire to go into detail about. But it has long been known within the board that I was unsure if I would continue, she answers.
The former biathlon star says she felt “heard” when she presented her thoughts on performance culture. But:
– There was not enough progress in it.

She is now sitting in the Fire Board members have managed to elect a new board. It happens after the extraordinary annual meeting in a few weeks. Meanwhile, she has one strong desire:
– I have a big heart for the departmental sports. I sincerely hope that they now stand together and not swayed by what is happening. That players take responsibility for his coach, and that the coach continues to take responsibility for developing players. It is my fervent hope now.
