Goalkeeper-Linde: I get well to see it here on YouTube in the future – VG

SKIEN (VG) (Odd – Molde 2-2) Molde goalkeeper Andreas Linde (22) expects star silent immediately after series debut – but not quite as he had thought.

Have you heard the story about the Swede, locals do and penalty in Skagerrak?

If not; Stay tuned here. For 72 minutes on Skagerrak Arena in Skien there was an extremely strange incident. The 22-year-old Swedish goalkeeper Andreas Linde kept stopping, but without any clear alternatives to play for, he chose to drop the ball into the feet’s.

There was fatally.

For behind lay locals do Jone Samuelsen on the sly. He was not to ask twice, intercepted the ball, and thus did not see Linde no other way than to take a full blown break grip on Samuelsen who went straight into the ground.

– It happened so quickly that I missed to think other than that I did try to tear him down, and then bet that we saved the penalty. I realized right away that it would be a red card, says Linde VG.

It was there too. But the plan failed, for Olivier Occean sat penalty and scored, and thus had Odd gone from 0-2 to 2-2.

– I was too poor oriented around me. It was the first and last time, says Linde, who realize that the situation is going to be a modern classic.

– I’m suppose to look it on YouTube in the future.

– Samuelsen least 20 cm smaller than you. Was that why he went unnoticed?

– No, I had only poor visibility.

– Seems I was pretty sly

Jone Samuelsen was extremely pleased both with the hiding place and the comeback. He started on the bench to rest between matches against Elfsborg last Thursday and quarterfinals of the Cup coming Wednesday – unless he was particularly agree with that – but came in after the break when Odd was two goals.

– I saw that he did not see me, and began to prowl me catching up from behind him. I think I was quite tricky, says Samuelsen, thereby once again becomes a viral hit as he experienced after having scored on header from midfield.

– I have tried it before, but never managed it.

Neither former national coach Egil “Drillo” Olsen has seen similar.

– One of the strangest I’ve ever seen. I’ve almost never seen makan, and he will probably never in life to do something similar, he said to TV 2.

Read detailed report here!

– It’s not going to happen again. He is a very good keeper, who otherwise played a good game. He we are going to get very good use, says Molde coach Erling Moe in his first game as head coach of the club.

Molde best from start

The newly constituted Molde coach was close to a dream start for his club, but with 2-2 it was with just almost at 90 minutes played. At 45 minutes it looked very bright for his men. Molde had full control on the first round and also scored twice, by Mohamed Elyounoussi and Joona Toivio.

In the second half came the reduction by Bentley, before it was time for the bizarre the extension.

Samuelsen had dribbled down to the by-line and turned into the ball which ended up with goalkeeper Linde. The giant Swede did not see that 20 cm shorter Samuelsen arms behind his back, dropped the ball down, and then Samuelsen suddenly thrust forward and snatched the ball was goalkeeper’s reflexes and hold him again so that Samuelsen has gone down. Thus red card to Linde, penalty for Odd and Tommy Høiland – which was swapped catching up just ten minutes in advance – had the peace of the track to make room for reserve goalkeeper Ethan Horvath.

The punishment was Occean safe, and thus became the points sharing with the digits 2-2.

– There was a two-part adventure. We were randomly good before the break, but lost control, says Molde coach Erling Moe.

Odd rested players

Molde came from two straight serietap, while Odd has had a full blown recovery in the last month. After a heavy period had Skiens team won the last two in the series, and Thursday qualified team to play-off round of the Europa League with victory 2-0 against Elfsborg.

Odd coach Dag-Eilev Fagermo did as he announced after his victory against Mjøndalen and rested key players like Olivier Occean, Jone Samuelsen and Fredrik Oldrup Jensen from the start.

– It was probably too many, but I had to rest several medical reasons, says Fagermo.

Whether it was the absence of the aforementioned or it was Elfsborg-game set in the legs of the remaining – and possibly in the minds of the whole club – so was Odd hideous weak from the start. Molde looked however like a team with renewed energy, and played odd low with great movement and quick combinations.

Good Hussain

Especially Etzaz Hussain and Mattias Mostrøm was dominant, and they were also the duo who set up the 1-0 goal after 13 minutes. Hussain played Mostrøm free with a cheeky flick, the Swede rolled further out to Martin Linne who hit the ball hard and low into the box. The finish by Ola Kamara hit the post but the rebound was Eirik Hestad ready and hit hard in front of goal again where Mohamed Elypunoussi controlled the ball in after hockeyvis.

Odd was running much in between struggled to get closer than some endings from long range as not threatened Molde goalkeeper Andreas Christopher Linde. Eight minutes before the break doubled Molde deserved lead with a superb free kick from Joona Toivio. From around 22 meters lifted the central defender the ball over the wall and into the goalkeeper Sondre Rossbach right corner.

Changes in the break

Day-Eilev Fagermo was clearly not pleased with what he had seen, and responded by putting catching up both Jone Samuelsen and Olivier Occean from start in the second half. Booty was about to pay off immediately. Odd pressure Molde back on track, and Occean nearly a cross from a fresh Rafik Zekhnini.

However, it was the man who started in Occenas center forward position that would rekindle hope for Odd. Bentley that had hardly been touched the ball before the break, watched to live in his usual place on the edge and with more familiar faces around him. First he hit the post on a great shot after 56 minutes, and minutes after he could cheering reducer. Jone Samuelsen brought up, took Bentley who played wall with Espen Ruud before he put the ball securely in the corner from eight meters.

Kamara with kjempebom

Barely ten minutes later Bentley also massively close equalizer. Odd came on a beautiful counterattack initiated by Jone Samuelsen, and a Nigerian, took over half the pitch before he finished with shot towards the corner, but Molde goalkeeper Andreas Christopher Linde made a good save and warded the ball to a corner.

After 71 minutes, the situation is going to become a classic on YouTube, but after 11 to 10 did not manage Odd follow up over the roof. Instead it was Molde who was close to snatch victory five minutes from time when Elyounoussi came through on the left. He struck across to Ola Kamara who did not get shuffled feet when he stood on an open goal, and put it back the way it came.

– 2nd half was brilliant when we drove over them. We are in shape, so I think this could be a very good harvest in Skien, says Dag-Eilev Fagermo.
