Fire chief retires – HegnarOnline

It became clear after a 13.5 hours long board meeting Monday night and Tuesday night.

The board meeting began at 12 o’clock Monday but was finished only when the clock approached 1:30 Tuesday night. On an instantly summoned press conference stated Chairman Rolf Barmen Roald Bruun-Hansen has decided to resign as general manager.

In a statement justifying Bruun-Hansen decision this way:

– In the difficult situation Fire is currently in, I have concluded that it is best for the club is that I step aside.

Respect
Rolf Barmen stressed at the press conference that Bruun-Hansen have confidence in the organization, and added that it is respectful of the decision to give up.

– We understand that Roald thought it was impossible to continue as a leader in the current situation, said Barmen.

He does not hesitate to boast that job Bruun-Hansen has devoted Bergen football pride.

Chief Deputy Terry Marthinsen now enters as acting CEO until Bruun-Hansen successor is ready. Board starts recruitment process to find a new CEO as soon as possible.
