VG hit Marit Bjoergen after the recording of yesterday’s Skavlan program, where she told in front of millions of TV viewers that the choice thus stands between more skiing or children and that she has not decided what she goes. Not even inside.

– Worse for girls

Marit Bjoergen gets 35 years for two weekends. She has never hidden the fact that she would like to have their own children. Skidronningen has for many years been cohabiting with former world champion and Olympic champion in combined Fred Børre Lundberg.

– How do you think people are concerned about what you choose?

– I have a feeling that a woman will give birth to children – at least until she gets well into the 30s.

– A male runner would never be asked this question?

– No, exactly! There is little worse for us girls. Firstly, we give birth to the child, and then we’re out for a season anyway. It is not so simple – things will also work around you.

– Do you plan something to get kids and then come back as a skier?

– No, I have no thoughts about it.

– How do you see to be a big celebrity?

– There is no problem, it’s part of the game. Cross country skiing is great in Norway. It provides benefits for both Ski Federation and us athletes. Therefore everything is set for that we can do it well. It’s about learning to live with celebrity existence. Sometimes I could imagine being totally anonymous, but I also see the benefits of it. It shows how large cross is with us.

– Three years pass quickly

Next winter there is no championship, then there Championships in Lahti and then the Olympics in South Korea in 2018 . Much may indicate that Marit Bjoergen think either or: quit now or continue 2018.

– It may be yes. Three years pass quickly! That’s what I had in mind with my appointments with their partners, they go up to 2018.

– But you are not bound by it?

– No, no! The main thing for me is that I have the motivation and willingness to lay down the job needed. If only I am willing to give 90 percent, so I’m going to fall fast on the leaderboards. I have no desire to.

– I must talk to me although I still have the motivation needed.

– But is it possible for you to set up new goals?

– That’s it! Next season there are two tourer, it’s Lahti World Championships and Olympics.

– Marit is commonplace. She is part of the national soul. Everyone realizes that if she puts up, so it is to have children. – On NRK series of cross country girls we saw how happy aunt children are in her. Marit is obviously a hot man.

Liv Grete Skjelbreid, even the mother of three girls of 12, 8 and 6 years and former biathlete queen, says:

– People should have so much respect for Marit Bjoergen they let her get peace in this area. She has done so much for the country.

– Everyone knows that this is about an important decision in life, something that is very personal – perhaps the most personal you can take.

– I will not say anything about what Mary has to do. She must do what is good for her, says Liv Grete Skjelbreid.
