Sweden’s gold altogether: – I am very touched when Marit says it – Aftenposten

Marit Bjoergen meetings Swedes VM king Johan Olsson at Skavlan tonight.

Marit Bjoergen had his best championship Falun, but went home with two gold medals. Bjoergen won the sprint on VMs first day, as well as relay.

Johan Olsson took gold in the men’s 15-kilometer, but had to settle for bronze at femmila, after Petter Northug crushed competitors in a legendary asked.

In the footage for tonight Skavlan broadcast, which was made Thursday, says 34-year-old about great experiences at Lugnet ski stadium in Falun.

– One gets the adrenaline and gets a little high on life. It has worked so long toward a goal and succeed finally reaching his goal, says Bjoergen.

The two skiers are the same age and fills both 35 years in a few weeks. When Falun Cup now over, it is marked for both.

– Bjoergen the greatest

Johan Olsson has stated that he is going to give themselves as championship runner after the season, but should go Vasaloppet coming weekend. The decision to add up feels on the body, he says in Skavlan.

– It is clear that it is a pretty hard decision to make, especially after having made a successful championship on home, says 34-year-old who lives and trains in Sundsvall.

Bjoergen inspired by Olsson achievements.

– Especially what he did on femmila in Val di Fiemme (gold medal after pressure from the competition early in the race, journ.anm.). Even in years, he was an inspiration. He has been sick a lot and managed to get in shape for Falun and take the gold medal. I have great respect for him, said Bjoergen.

It is a tribute Swede appreciate. He praises Bjoergen as the biggest skier.

– I get very touched when Marit says. In my eyes, she definitely the best skier of all time. She has been a tremendous inspiration to the success she has had even though she has not had a completely streamlined career, says Olsson.
