Edvald Boasson Hagen (28) won today’s second leg of Denmark Around.
The field came closest collected toward the finish, after 235 kilometers from Ringkøbing to Århus. There, MTN-QHUBEKA rider help from teammate Gerald Ciolek, and stuck early. In the sprint was Boasson Hagen superior.
– It was a good demand, but I got good help from the team. Gerald made me forward and I timed right and then came thankfully no past me, said Boasson Hagen told VG.
– It was good to get a win again, he adds .
It was a double victory for MTN-QHUBEKA layer with Kristian Sbaragli 2nd. Danish Soren Kragh Andersen was third.

Boasson Hagen took his first victory since NM on June 28. Since then he has laid down three legs hard weeks in the Tour de France, where he repeatedly fought for a stage win.
– There have been many days on the bike in the past, but the legs feels good, even though I’m tired. I notice that the others are tired, and when it gets extra high speed and it runs on power, then I have more to give and can give the little extra, says 28-year-old.
Today’s stage was thus on the entire 235 km, and contained actually 2,000 meters in terms of some of Denmark’s highest points.
– We were the over Denmark’s highest mountain today, but it was not quite Alps, although it was run pretty hard today, said Boasson Hagen with a smile.
Travel late summer
Astana rider Lars Boom keeps the yellow bib, after he won the first leg. Then Edvald Boasson Hagen, who is one of the overall favorites, just number 56. Denmark Around has a total of six stages and lasts until Saturday.
– I get primarily take this day by day and then see how it goes. I lost a lot of time yesterday, but we’ll see, said Boasson Hagen, who do not intend to take up any summer soon.
– No, no vacation is not. The next Arctic Tour of Norway (August 13), so race in Hamburg, then the Tour of Britain (September 6th) and I hope the World Cup on, he explains.
