VIFs jubilee weekend in full swing. Easy win against Tromsø – Dagbladet.no

Vålerenga Tromsø 1-0 (1-0)

Ullevaal Stadium (Dagbladet): When Real Madrid come to town, must league flinch. Therefore Vålerenga Tromsø played Friday night instead of Sunday.

In less than 48 hours, it is Martin Ødegaard and Co. which shall take Ullevaal, along with close 30,000 well-paying spectators. But for Kjetil Rekdal was the point counting Tromso struggle most importantly this August weekend – a weekend that was extra good for anyone with Vålerenga heart when Mohammed Abdellaoue let himself be present as a new player in his former club in the hours before kickoff.

“Moa” got rhythmic cheers as he ran around inside the Ullevaal pitch at halftime of the settlement against Tromsø. At that time had already Vålerenga proved so make controlling the hosts from the north that the three points seemed to be in the box.

TO crossbar

It was admittedly Tromsø who lit the first matchstick: After seven minutes the ball bounced down to the feet of Gjermund Aasen, who hammered away at full left foot force from an angle. Kula hit the crossbar over a outmaneuvered Sascha Burchert.

A team in adversity do feel that that kind of shot fall into the net, chances do not come by itself. Tromso has only won one away game this season, and if we disregard Åsens end there was little before the break to indicate that the figure should be doubled against Vålerenga.

After 19 minutes came the goal – for Kjetil Rekdal men . Tromso – who came to Ullevaal with 0-6 against Strømsgodset at Alfheim as his previous combat experience – had just moved up both midfielders and backs, and transition opportunity gaped toward the blue. Christian Grindheim saw room as Ghayas Zahid had found roughly where TIL right-back should have been. Zahid basted inwards and shot the ball wisely in at the near post.

– I’m a bit of luck, but I think the ball had gone in anyway. It was very delicious, says Zahid to TV 2 Zebra on the target.

New goalkeeper-zero

The second half was poor in content. Neither Vålerenga and Tromsø came to very many obvious chances. One of the most dangerous experiments stood Tromsøs Magnus Andersen for eight minutes from time but from an acute angle shot went into Molja instead of putting Sascha Burchart the test.

The German has now been three games for Vålerenga, and he has yet to concede a goal.

might the statistics bust against Real Madrid Sunday afternoon. But it accepts most eastern part of Oslo, for with Moa in stables and three new points in the last column of the table, it is important already in box. Now it remains only star party.

Bad day

– I am tempted to say that VIF win on a bad day, said Egil “Drillo” Olsen who commented the match on TV 2 Zebra .

The next three matches for the VIF is against Molde, Rosenborg and Aalesund. There was only one point total against these teams in the first settlements of the season.

– It was crucial for us to win this game, here, says Rekdal, who expects tough opposition in the next three games.

Tromsø lost 6-0 against Strømsgodset last round, and risked little even when they fell under the VIF tonight.

– The only thing I think is trasig after this fight here is that we have not scored in two matches. Today there are only suture, said Tromsø coach Steinar Nilsen.
