West Ham super purchases continues to impress – Dagbladet.no

• West Ham – Newcastle 2-0 (1-0)

(Dagbladet): Dimitri Payet has been cited as one of the best seasonal purchases by West Ham’s season opening. And at home against Newcastle showed Frenchman who came from Marseille why.

28-year-old scored both goals in the 2-0 victory. It was the London side’s third victory this season.

Although it is Payet who steals the headlines there are several West Ham players who should take much of the credit for the good start of the season.

Moses impressed

1-0 goal against Newcastle came after a great attacking play. Diafra Sakho took Mark Noble with a delightful heel strikes. The captain was patient before he set up Payet, who stuck the ball into the net.

As gratifying as Payet game was the performance of another debutant, Victor Moses. Nigeria he distinguished himself with great challenges and a great speed in front of the home crowd.

And he was the architect behind the 2-0 goal. Moses ran from Newcastle’s defense, feinted out an opponent before he put the ball into the crossbar. On the return was Payet in the right place and doubled the lead. And while Payet celebrated goal alone, ran teammates approached Moses to congratulate him.

Carroll back

There was much to enjoy for West Ham fans this Monday evening. Minutes before the end was debutant Moses removed. In came Andy Carroll, who has not played a game since February.

Carroll missed their mark, but there were no goals in the major growing tip.

For Newcastle look situation still pitch dark out. McClaren’s men have not won this season and is quite recently with spigot affordable two points. Players were also no optimal recharging when they had to go to battle.
