Rosenborg will not fix Europe Games – Dagsavisen

Lazio gave Rosenborg an early cold shower at Lerkendal Thursday. The Italians finally beat Kåre Ingebrigtsen crew 2-0. Thus does the hope of further play in the European League thin for Trønders.

– Lazio has a good team. They were better than us in this fight, said Rosenborg coach Kåre Ingebrigtsen in an interview with TV channel MAX.

Lazio took the lead from a corner after nine minutes in Trondheim. Serbian Filip Djordjevic nodded the ball into the net for the home side dismay. Only minutes earlier had RBK released with fright. Goalkeeper André Hansen saved alone against the visitors Ricardo Kishna.

After a button half-hour on the clock it went from bad to worse for the home side. Said Djordjevic had a fantastic opportunity inside the 16-yard box and he was not to ask twice. The striker doubled for guests.

Several goals were not in the settlement. Rosenborg had their opportunities before and after the fire, but was not able to exploit them. Nor after Keita Balde Diao received marching orders for guests seven minutes before the end.

– In periods we played good football, but we saw that there were some players who lacked a bit in day. We note enough wear after a long season, said Ingebrigtsen.

In the other match in Group G wins French Saint-Étienne 3 -0 against Ukrainian Dnipro. That means that a lot needs to fall into place if table jumbo Rosenborg, who only have one point so far, will take on from the group stage. Trønders are six points behind table deuce Saint-Étienne when two matches remaining. RBK will meet Saint-Étienne (h) and the Dnipro (b) in their last two, and Trønders must win both for the hope of advancement will live on. Lazio leads the group with ten points, while Table trey Dnipro has four points.

Lazio spared rest several players in Thursday’s clash with Rosenborg. Stars like Felipe Anderson and Miroslav Klose was neither the court or bench.

Damages

It was not only the result which was negative for Rosenborg. Central defender Tore Reginiussen had to leave the field injured after half an hour of play. The same had national team striker Alexander Søderlund a piece out in the 2nd half.

Especially Söderlund damage will probably worry coach coaching staff before omspillskampene to EM against Hungary. Høgmo sat in the stands at Lerkendal Thursday. (© NTB)
