By Friday Platini knows if he regains his job as president – VG

UEFA president Michel Platini (60) hope he will soon be back to work. He learns it by Friday 11 December.

Platini got a 90 day utestengele from work because of corruption charges, in October, together with FIFA President Sepp Blatter. Both deny having done anything wrong.

Today should Platini lawyers appear in court to try to get the suspension repealed. The appeal shall, according to Cas (Court of Arbiration for Sport), decided on Friday 11 December.

Platini wants to be a candidate for the job as FIFA president after Sepp Blatter, but the man who in the 1980s was named Europe’s best soccer player for three consecutive years, is deprived of all football work for the time.

Platini – and Blatter – has been suspended because of charges of “disloyal payment” of 1.3 million pounds in 2011, for work for FIFA between 1998 and 2002.

But although Platini would get the suspension lifted this week, it is still not certain he will attempt to become the presidential candidate for the job of FIFA.

Sepp Blatter has said that he gives himself, and a new president will be elected in a special congress on February 26 next year.
