Then came the first loss for VIF – Dagsavisen

By Geir Andreassen

In Sparta Amfi between Sparta and Vålerenga took the home team by Niklas Roest with a late goal in the 1st period. Guests from Oslo offset by Martin Laumann Ylven, while Fredrik Cszizar overall 2-1 score to Vålerenga. Homemade struck back however when Henry Knold scored the 2-2 goal before the middle period was over.

In the third period could Henrik Malmström turn the game again and gave the home side the lead before Sparta oengkonge Dion Knelsen scored the last goal five minutes before the end. Vålerenga was eventually run out and could not answer.

The outcome was somewhat surprising because Vålerenga had a good hold on Sparta entire season and won the first three settlements. But this evening it was over. And Sparta showed muscles that showed why they are unbeaten after the New Year. Sparta won the shot statistics 31-27, but it was only in the last period they were the best with 12.7 in the match protocol.

Thus took Sparta up to second place on the table, but is a point with Lørenskog. Both have 62 points against Stavanger 70.

Stavanger won

Series Leader Stavanger took a strong 3-1 victory away against Lillehammer. Lillehammer has a good record against Stavanger so Petter Thoresen boys did not take any chances. The home side put then also 1-0 lead as Joakim Eidsæther did score a penalty.

Stavangers Dan Kissel was man behind the settlement in the 1st period shortly after. Middle period ended goalless, while Philippe Cornet struck home the redemptive 2-1 goal with under four minutes left. The same man fixed the final score in the hideout somewhat later.

Tightly Hamar

In Hamar took Asterisk their second win of the season over Storhamar. The match was decided on penalties after 4-4 in regular time and a dumb extension.

Storhamar got a good start to the match after Jacob Berglund had scored twice before it was gone seven minutes. The last time the teams met also managed the team from Fredrikstad to return against Alexander Smirnovs men. The star once again showed good morale when the team stood up, came back and turned the match towards the end of the 1st period. Myles Bell, Curtis Gedig and David Hällström stood behind the turnaround.

Storhamar recovered from the shock, and the former The star player Martin Rønnild stood for middle period only goal. Hampus Gustafsson sent guests to guide early in the third period, but Gedig showed why he is made king points when he tapped into a wrist shot from distance.

After many penalties each team was Luka Vidmar who was the only player who managed to score so Stjernen were joined by two points.

Manglerud Star made a long-awaited revenge from the last meeting against Kongsvinger. Magnus Hoff was back after a broken arm and accounted for two goals in the 6-3 fight. (NTB)
