Fourcade – Norway: 6-2 – NRK

The Frenchman took his 43 World Cup victory. That means he has more World Cup victories since March 2010, when he won his first, than what Norway has in total in the same period.

The last two seasons have Martin Fourcade 14 individual victories in the World Cup. In the same period, Norway has taken six wins. And if one looks at this season alone has Fourcade already six wins against Norway’s two victories. It shows how dominant Fourcade is in sport.

Os best Norwegian

None of the best Norwegian athletes compete in Canmore. Emil Hegle Svendsen and Ole Einar Bjoerndalen is the World Cup that remains before the World Cup, to get into shape for the championship at Holmenkollen. Tarjei Bo and Johannes Thingnes Bø has plans to ask the World Cup weekend in the US next weekend.

On a day where the predicted best Norwegian athletes were not involved, it was Alexander Os who was best Norwegian in ninth place.

– It was very good shooting, and I went as fast as I could. So I’m very happy. This was season best and I still have a hope to compete on home, said Os after the race.

Fourcade superior

But Martin Fourcade was little to do with . The Frenchman has really found VM shape, and went in to clear victory in Canadian Canmore. Flawless shooting and an extreme tempo track was enough to win 15.7 seconds ahead of Anton Shipulin and 18, 7 seconds ahead of Simon Schempp. In other the same athletes who dominated in January weekends which is still leading in the field.

– It’s amazing where you decide how quickly Martin Fourcade yesterday, says NRK biathlon expert Ola Lunde.

– These are some of the best he has done compared to the competition, adds the commentator Andrew Stabrun Smith.
