(Dagbladet): Last night announced tenninsstjerna Maria Sharapova (28) that she would soon come with a big announcement. It started immediately speculation among fans and media.
More thought Sharapova would tell that his career was over. At a press conference tonight enlightened, however, the former world number one that she tested positive for the banned substance Meldonium during the Australian Open in January.
– I will tell you that I have been caught doping. I take full responsibility for it. I made a mistake. I have taken a medicine for several years, but in a letter I received from Association of Tennis few days ago I learned that it contains Meldonium. It’s important to me that you understand that I have taken this medication for ten years. It is only from 1 January Meldonium were illegal, something I did not know, says Sharapova.

Sharapova has an eventful career to look back on. Already at age 18 she became number one in the world, a position she later had a further four times.
