British Olympic completely collapsed on the bathroom floor – Aftenposten

The British running star Mo Farah to skip Commonwealth Games. He lay four days in hospital after collapsing in the bathroom.

The double Olympic champion explained Monday of the story on why he did not were watching the athletics track in Glasgow. The Briton is scheduled to run 10,000 and 5,000 meters at the European Championships in Zurich, respectively, Wednesday and Friday.

– I had an infected tooth extracted. Although I had some pain, I took a run. When I came back, I fell over and was completely knocked on the bathroom floor.

– I had a phone in your pocket, so when I regained consciousness, I called Cam Levins (fitness friend). He helped to put me in bed. I had so much pain in the stomach, he decided to call an ambulance,

told Farah said.

31-year-old was admitted to hospital for thorough investigations. The doctors took no chances.

– I was flown to the main hospital because they thought there was something wrong with the heart. It was crazy. I was hospitalized for four days. It was scary, but these things happen. (© NTB)
