Bergen / Lillehammer (TV2): Therese Johaug had no trouble winning at Lillehammer. 27-year-old was paramount already in the first half of Skiathlon and only increased its lead down to the others. Thus she retains the leader jersey while she took all bonus seconds along the way. Johaug fantastic run did that there was never any doubt about who was going to win – and a half minutes separated down to the opposition.
However, it was extremely large voltage for second place, but Weng received a long-awaited upturn when she spurtslo Kalla. Thus double Norwegian Lillehammer!
– It was a crazy good ski race today. Skis and shape were top. It was one of the best technical races I’ve gone. It has been a fantastic start to the season. I’m crossing my fingers that it continues that way.
Maiken Caspersen Falla was the next on the list Norwegian and impressed with a 5-.Place.
– I am very satisfied. It was really funny. I feel I go with good control all the way, then let the other girls behind. It’s probably one of the best distance races I’ve gone ever. I surprise myself, says Falla.
Stack early from the rest
Even before the women had gone in five minutes there were three of advance the favorites proved forward: Therese Johaug, Heidi Weng and Charlotte Kalla.
Most anticipated maybe it was Johaug that would lead from the start, but Lillehammer was the Weng who dragged the two others they first kilometers.
24-year-old has been through some painful days when she first went wrong in Kuusamo before it later emerged that it was ending with his girlfriend.
After the trio had passed through the stadium, 3.75 kilometers, was at 22 seconds down to the rest of the athletes.
Johaug-jerk
The two Norwegian girls eventually managed to get a few seconds down to Kalla and then a little while to have a desire to go together .
So jerked Johaug.
The girl from Dalsbygda showed superpowers when she steadily increased its lead for each stone’s throw. At six kilometers it was over 15 seconds down to Weng, while Kalla lay the whole 23 seconds behind. Johaug also took all the bonus points along the way.
So never back
Johaug put on his skate skis by almost half a minute down to the second and had surprisingly few problems increase in Skiathlon second half. The leader of the World Cup seemed simply to be in fantastic shape and was in a class by itself. 27-year old calmed never down the Temo despite that it became obvious who would win and crushed all resistance in Lillehammer.
