Kulizjnikov taken in doping – NRK

Another Russian athlete profile must have tested positive for heart medicine meldonium which came on the WADA Prohibited List 1 January this year.

This time it Pavel Kulizjnikov should have used the same heart medicine that the Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova has used for ten years. This adds more Russian media.



Has a dopingdom before

21-year-old took two golds in distance world championships earlier this year and in November 2015 he improved his own world record in the 500 meters as the first runner down on the 33′s with the time 33.98. In January he also lowland of 1,000 meters in Stavanger. Kulizjnikov is considered the best skate printer in the world.

The Russian coach Kosta Poltavets says to schaatsen.nl that he was surprised by the positive doping test.

* the drug is produced in Latvia and is used to treat heart disease. The drug is not approved in the United States.

* The drug improves blood circulation, which affects performance and recovery.

Kulizjnikov also has a dopingdom since he was 19 years old. In 2012, he took gold in the 1,000 meters and bronze in the 500m junior world championships. Right after he tested positive for the bodybuilder doped Methylhexanamine and given a two-year dopingdom.

When was Haavard Lorentzen sent gold medal in the mail after finishing second in the 1000 box behind Kulizjnikov.

– It will be interesting to see how long judgment he gets and if he gets banned for the rest of his career, says Lorentzen above NRK.

Hvammen: – Extremely disappointing
