Stavanger (Eve magazine): Wednesday afternoon gathered Viking board for the first time after Tuesday’s general meeting where all the proposals of the board fell for the second time in three weeks.
During the Board meeting William Danielsen lodge at Viking stadium Wednesday did manage Charlie Granfelt it clear that he is stepping down as chairman with immediate effect.
Deputy Jan Hauge confirmed he will take over as chairman until the EGM about two to three weeks .
– How did today’s board meeting?
– It was okay. Charlie Granfelt noted that the best Viking was that he resigned. But it is always difficult and sad situations where a chairman has put so much good work that Granfelt made. Yet I have some understanding that it might be the best for Viking, says Jan Hauge Aftenbladet.
– Attempted some directors to persuade Granfelt to continue?
– I will not comment more about it, answer Hauge.
– can you imagine joben chairman permanently?
– There is not a relevant issue. Now nomination committees work out new proposals for controls, responding Hauge.
Hauge and the rest of the board will be seated until the club’s other extraordinary general meeting about two to three weeks.
It has not yet succeeded Aftenbladet to get in touch with Charlie Granfelt.
After the meeting talked Aftenbladet with director Egil Østenstad but he did not want to comment on anything. The same black directors Helge Bie and Jan Hauge.
Jan Hauge was chairman during Tuesday’s extraordinary general meeting, and was the person who on his own initiative launched a draft text of an agreement that could resolve the tangle between the parties.
the agreement must be now a working group to continue working with to see if the parties can agree.
In the press release from Viking says:
” Charlie Gran Fields has resigned from office as Chairman of Viking Fotball ASA and Viking FK. By virtue of being deputy both places, the Jan Hauge until further taken over. “
It will be called for an extraordinary general meeting in Viking Fotball ASA and an extraordinary general meeting in Viking FK urgently made, including election of chairperson will be on the agenda.
Viking had its meeting today, Wednesday, and discussed the situation after Tuesday’s meeting.
