Near the solution operation between skiforbundet and Northug – Aftenposten

Petter Northug and the Norwegian Ski Association are so close to each other in contract negotiations that a deal is imminent, according to TV 2.

– It looks promising. This should resolve themselves, said Secretary General Stein Opsal TV2 Wednesday.

Petter Northug will probably sign the much-publicized contract with NSF before the weekend. The agreement must be in place before the season that Northug can go in the World Cup and be selected for the World Championships in Falun in February.

Skinstad: – We agree with Northug

Cross Country Head Skinstad will preferably have Northug fixed the national team.

When Aftenposten was in contact with cross-manager Åge Skinstad earlier today, he was also very positive.

– We are exceptionally good conversation Peter and John Northug. The

turmoil that is surrounding this does not affect our discussions with Northug camp.

– Do you think that there is an agreement between the Norwegian Ski Federation and Petter Northug for the coming season?

– I think certainly, said Skinstad to Aftenposten.

Petter Northug decided last season to remain outside the national team and draw personal sponsorship. He and associated agreed last season, but has not yet agreed to a similar contract for the coming season.
