Third Kristoff victory in a row after millimeters duel – Aftenposten

Alexander Kristoff shows raw form in Belgium.

Alexander Kristoff had overcoming the first two stages of De Panne-Koksijde in Belgium before Thursday’s Stage 3.

A group of 12 riders were in breach long, but after 111.4 kilometers were mass sprint. There was a super smooth duel between Kristoff and German André Greipel. Kristoff was in front, but Greipel came flush with the Norwegian. Destination images gave no clear answer.

– I do not know, maybe it was the same, said Kristoff to Eurosport after you finish.

After the jury had been studied photo finish decided that Kristoff was some millimeteres front.

– I am very pleased. The team has worked very well. There have been three wonderful days in De Panne, says Kristoff after his eighth win of the season.



– Good starting

– It was hard at the end and very dense. Greipel got my wheel on the last few meters and came quickly, says Kristoff.

Stage Race in Belgium concludes with a time trial later on Thursday.

– There is no doubt that I have a good starting before the closing time trial. Now I got six-second bonus and it makes me even has a few seconds to go before the time trial later today. I’ll do what I can in summary, says Kristoff.



Bystrøm in Flanders
