Oilers brag Storhamar after final thriller – Dagbladet.no

Stavanger Oilers took their fourth consecutive championship title when winning 4-2 in the final and decisive final Saturday night.

tomålsscorer Tommy Kristiansen was naturally very happy after the victory.

– It is incredibly delicious that we finally drag it ashore. We’ve waited this long but Storhamar gave us a real challenge.

Quests European success

After playing in the Champions Hockey League this season is Kristiansen also aware of what objective he himself sees as realistic for next season.

– We have to aim to go further in the Champions League. I am definitely sure that we are good enough. Now we must naturally take into account that there may be changes, but my objective is clear.

Coach Petter Thoresen seems however to be reasonably sure which players are playing in the white shirt next season.

– I am very pleased that we managed to pull this victory ashore. Storhamar are a good team and they gave us a real battle.

– We had a home game in the final number seven and it was perhaps what tipped margins over in our favor, says success coach.
