Suzann Pettersen had a nightmare round when the US Open began Thursday. She went first round nine strokes over par. Shortly after the Norwegian woman was finished, the round halted by tornado warning.
She managed couples on the first four holes, but then it dobbeltbogey on the fifth. Subsequently bogey both on 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 15th and 18th holes. The disappointing game held only 143. space.
Not a single birdie managed “Tutta” Thursday and thus she is among the weakest of the roughly 150 participants after the first round.
Best after the first round is Marina Alex and Karrie Webb, who both went the opening round in 66 strokes. With that they are 13 strokes ahead of the Norwegian international star.
Webb played alongside Pettersen on the first lap and had a very different experience on the road around the track in Pennsylvania.
Shortly after the Norwegian golf star was finished playing, it blew up the pitch in Lancaster. Eventually it was issued tornado warning and the game was stopped.
After two hours of delays was the rest of the round postponed. That means 56 players must finish their first round Friday morning US time.
Amy Yang, Na Yeon Choi and Jane Park follows the space behind tetduoen with a game more.
