– I could have gone abroad in July, says Åge Hareide.
Åge Hareide took Malmo to league title last season, but this season has been heavier. After 18 games is the club on 6th place in the Allsvenskan, and in the Champions League qualifiers, they have a difficult starting point in front of the rematch against Salzburg this week.
Malmo has lost a number of key players from the gold layer. Now admits Hareide that he also had the opportunity to change club during the summer.
– I could even gone abroad in July, but it had signaled something that is not good. Then I would rather fight to build a new team and to get as high as possible, says Hareide to Expressen.

The coach asked about Malmö should have been tougher to keep their best players.
– When good players who has been involved in creating progress made will earn their money abroad, has been very generous Malmo with them. But I also think they deserve it, believe Hareide.
In Wednesday’s Champions League qualifying, we can see several Norwegians in action. Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Jo Inge Berget was substituted into the first match, while Andreas Vindheim was sitting on the bench. Salzburg played Valon Berisha entire match, while Håvard Nielsen watched the match from the substitutes’ bench.
