Super Substitute Karadas saved Brann – Aftenposten

The fight against Levanger was a long yawn until Azar Karadas came into play.

FIRE STADIUM (bt. com): The recipe is not very innovative, but it works time and time again. When Brann struggling uphill becomes Azar Karadas exchanged and moved up on top. From there he changed the game image both against Bærum and Åsane and against Levanger he did it again.

Fire struggled namely to break down Trøndelag defense, and the game so long to end with a stout 0-0 result. But midway through the second half came the joker in and around ten minutes later he would decide it Branns favor.

With his first goal of the season he secured three points to red Royen quarters before the end. Fire is thus only one point behind second place that gives direct promotion.

Huseklepp hit the post

Fire took early control of the match but struggled to get to the big chances initially. Closest was Vadim Demidov after 20 minutes, when he headed a sparkling set piece situation turned middle of Levanger’s goalkeeper.

Chances were, however, only trifles compared with the Fire were playing up to three minutes later. Marcus Pedersen pass to Erik Huseklepp with a nice heel strikes, but Bergenser unable to outwit goalkeeper Ola Rygg from short range. Ending his shot the post before it went out of dødlinja.

Much more did not happen in the first half. A game that hardly will be long remembered.

Karadas-scoring

The second half opened not with a fireworks display, and again it was Kristoffer Larsen kicks that caused the most trouble for the guests. One of cornern, after 57 minutes, actually kept on screwing directly into the net, but was saved on the line by a Levanger player tie.

The first real chance after the break it was Fredrik Haugen who should stand for. With Aalesund reps the stands he would only steer into Huseklepps posts with foreheads, but a header went wide of the target.

When patience among supporters began to be frayed, should Branns own joker arouse optimism again. Azar Karadas was switched on to create printed front Levanger goal, and after a few minutes should cover a return. Pedersen won the ball in a duel with two defenders and played it Karadas, which is open not had any problems with sending Fire in the lead.

Soon after the dog should have been doubled. Again Haugen an excellent chance from close range, but again he strikes. This time finish was performed with the right leg and the direction was the middle of the goalkeeper.

But Karadas’ goal proved to be enough. Brann won comfortably 1-0 over Levanger.
