It was only played more than two minutes of the match between Manchester City and Everton, when Citys superstar Sergio Agüero was left sticking to one knee after a duel with Everton Séamus Coleman.
Judge André Marriner stopped the fight and Agüero received treatment on the pitch. The målfarlige Argentine had clearly pain in the left knee, and it was early signaled that the tip had to be replaced.
After a couple of minutes on the sidelines was the final decision taken, and the young José Pozo entered after each pitch in favor of City’s top scorer.
See Agüero go crying off the top!
A tearful and very disappointed Agüero trudged crestfallen at the target, and further away from City substitute bench, and thus had the light blue do without her perhaps the best player almost the entire game.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini had the following to say about Aguero knee injury after the game.
– It is difficult to say anything about it at the present time. He probably stretched some ligaments in knees, but we’ll hear what the doctor says tomorrow. He plays hardly against Rome for a week, but that said; know this doctor our more about tomorrow.
