John Arne Riise has expressed interest in playing in the Norwegian league, with the parent club Aalesund as a desirable option.
The case has, however, seemed hopeless. The reason is that Riise has a deal with betting company Betsson, while the Norwegian Football Association (NFF) is sponsored by Norwegian Tipping.
NFF has been clear that Riise not fronte Betsson while playing in the premier league, while Riise have given indications that it is unacceptable to break with the sponsor.
Now, however, Riise statements that would solve the whole tangle.
The left back hoping to get a similar deal as Petter Northug, Coop and their coaches have got earlier.
– I’m not going to terminate the contract, it does not happen. Any break, or something like Northug, may be appropriate. We’ll sit down all together, we will find a solution, explains Riise told NRK.

A Riise return to Norwegian football will make eliteserien than attraction richer.
