Celebration

New Year’s ski jumping in Garmisch-Partenkirchen promises to become a “happening” of the rare. Germans have jumps fever. The day after Freund’s victory in Oberstdorf Tuesday was torn away further 3,000

tickets for tomorrow’s races.

– It may be one of the races in history with the highest viewing figures. I think we must return to Sven Hannawald victory in 2001/2002 to experience something similar, says sports director Clas Brede Braathen told Dagbladet.
