Little brother Bo outclassed competitors – ABC News

The closest competitor in Presque Isle, Maine was Russian Anton Shipulin. He came 27.9 seconds behind. It’s clean overrun on a 10 kilometer. BUSH win was his second of the season and tenth overall in the World Cup.

22-year-old opened very quickly on the trail and seemed checked on the firing line. Admittedly he lost some seconds on the final round against a man as third placed Martin Fourcade, but there was never any doubt where victory would end.

Fourcade ended 28.9 seconds behind Bo.

Bo said that he looked forward to fierce race after both he and his brother Tarjei stood above the troughs in Canmore last weekend.

– It tingled bad, and I rejoiced. I would not come here unless I believed in victory, said Bo told NRK.

More in wait

career tenth World Cup victory tasted more than normal. It was also a victory with particularly good timing. There are not more than three weeks before it slams started with the World Cup in Holmenkollen.

– 10 victories?

– Delicious! It will be both 20 and 30. Fun! A great day. It was horrible delicious winning. I had faith, said Thingnes Bo.

He told about very cold hands and said that he shot the five underlying shots without feeling in his fingers. In track, he struggled a bit to find out how he would solve the competition. The victor believes that there should be more going on during the season and up to the Championships.

– This was just regular form of exercise. I went not as good at the end as at the start. It lacks little bit.

Friday is pursuit in Maine.

– Then I shall burn to the field, concluded Bo.

Second best

Big brother Tarjei Bo had to endure a boom in portrait, and he ended up as second best Norwegian in an 8th place with 58.9 seconds up to his little brother.

Erlend Bjøntegaard also shot one boom standing and was 1.07,1 minutes behind. It gives him probably the last place in the Norwegian World Cup squad. Perhaps he also go sprint in the World Cup since Norway has five seats on the distance. Thursday’s win is also the reigning world champion in the distance.
