(Dagbladet): Javelin Throw Andreas Thorkildsen has decided not to compete this season. It reports 33-year-old self on Twitter.
“I’ve decided not to participate this season and focus on a strong comeback in the 2016 season,” he writes.
Norway’s most winning athlete operated hip last August and it has long been uncertain whether he would compete this season.
Javelin ace has long struggled with injuries and we have not been able to see the best of northern man they recent seasons.
Thorkildsen has previously said to NRK that the big
goal is the Olympics in Rio next year. 
– The watching is not very fun, I most want to be with, said Thorkildsen NRK earlier in May.
