– Our logo is inspired by the coat of arms. It is not animal lion we are looking for, but solemn symbol. The lion stands for, explains Siem.
The Secretary-General says that the work of the logo cost 3-4 million. NFF has received financial support of European Football Associations (UEFA) in the process.

Drag Noise
It is six years since the NFF last time presented a new emblem. It created huge waves when a dragon was preferred the traditional “flag on his chest.” The time was flagged completely gone.
The flag has been the national team symbol from the 1920s, and already in 1931 came the flag on the chest to internationals. In 2008, the flag replaced by the dragon, an emblem inspired by the Viking era. When should the dragon symbolize fighting spirit, teamwork, control, strength and performance.
But control reactions had at least not NFF then. Federation was simply played off. Minister of Culture Trond Giske and then coach Åge Hareide was among those who demanded the dragon away and into the flag again. It did not take many days before NFF regretted even target and removed the dragon.
In advance it was produced around 11,000 suits that were sold to fans. The warehouse was also sold – and that in one day, but at cost. Thus they could not connected earn money they wanted on the sale of supporter gear.
The time it was written that associated had spent around 300,000 dollars on the design.
Before Friday’s press conference went a rumor that the dragon had again been revived, much like the dragon Smaug in end of the first Hobbit movie.
