Three English clubs have broken FFP rules. Can not buy players in January – Dagbladet.no

Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers have broken the rules of financial fair play and can not buy players in January.

All three clubs, located in the English championship series, suffered losses last season that was larger than the limits allowed under the financial rules. This limit is 8 million pounds, or over 80 million Norwegian kroner.

As a result of violations get none of the clubs in practice act players from January 1 until the end of the season. The exceptions are if they have fewer than 24 players in the squad and players then optionally enters must cost less than 600,000 pounds.

– The clubs have the opportunity to buy players after this season if they can show that they have remained within the limits of the current season, says the league said in a statement.

The newly promoted Premier League teams Queens Park Rangers, Leicester and Burnley will all be under investigation for the same.
