Arsenal rescued by unfortunate Palace selvmål in nail-biter – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): After a disappointing loss against West Ham in the league opening last weekend, got Arsenal his revenge when they met Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park Sunday.

Arsenal are among the hottest to push Chelsea down from the throne this season and today they showed why – although they met a hvasst Palace team.

But it was an own goal that had to.

– I said before the match that we really needed these three points to turn back after the bad demonstration against West Ham. We could have scored more goals, but we are happy to take three points, says scorer Olivier Giroud.

Crystal Palace pressure towards the end, but could not make any difference on the scoresheet. 1-2 Arsenal.
