Rosenborg outclassed Mjøndalen – meetings Stabæk in the semifinals – Dagbladet.no

Rosenborg – Mjøndalen 4-0
LERKENDAL (Dagbladet): Rosenborg have now played ten straight games without a loss after they went on a 1-0 bang away against Bodø / Glimt July 5th. The last nine have ended with victory in battles where Rosenborg have scored at least 27 goals.

After a somewhat slow start in the quarterfinals against Mjøndalen was a pleasant way to semifinal for Rosenborg who went to the break 3-0.
First scored Alexander Søderlund 1-0 after Fredrik Midsjø controlled the ball down to toppscoreren thundered in goal with his left foot.
then received Yann-Erik deLanlay his first RBK goal when he headed into 2-0 cross from Pål Andre Helland.
Some exciting that deLanlay now has helped to lead both Viking and Rosenborg the semifinals of the Cup.

Last goal before the break there was another newcomer, Matthias Vilhjalmsson, who scored for beautiful inside pass by Mike Jensen.

Calmed by 4-0

After the break Rosenborg continued to run over a Mjøndalen teams that do not hang with either the pace, quality or duel power.
hail with chances and for scarce hour knocked Pål Andre Helland into 4-0.
After this fight calmed down somewhat. Rosenborg were satisfied, let youngsters have a go and mind was probably more on Sunday’s game against Valerenga than the last half hour against Mjøndalen. Yet had created more than enough chances to secure an even greater victory.
Mjøndalen however had little to come by offensively. A few half-chances were there eventually, but mostly they were running after far more ball secure trøndere.
7736 spectators saw tonight – Sunday is expected sold out stadium with over 21,000 inside the gates when Vålerenga visit.
