Rekdal: – Moa playing at Lerkendal – Aftenposten

Vålerenga-boss promises his new striker playing in the top match against Rosenborg.

VALLE (Aftenposten): Mohammed “Moa” Abdellaoue (29) are out of combat form. But Vålerenga starts pairing of its new point already to Sunday’s match at Lerkendal.

– We will surely see Moa on the field in the game. But how much it is, we get to wait a bit more before we say anything specific about. We will train on Saturday, after taking the team out. But he’s going to be on the pitch at Lerkendal. Unless something very unusual happens. But how many minutes he gets, I have no answer yet, says Kjetil Rekdal to Aftenposten.

Lost rhythm

Last time Moa played a mandatory fight for VIF was on 8 August 2010. When VIF lost 0-2 at Haugesund Stadion, and Moa continued journey in German Hannover. His preliminary final goal for Vålerenga came in matchday before, home to 1.8-pulverization of Start. Moa scored three. In his 67 matches for the VIF he stands with 30 goals. The plan is to expand in both protocols.

After a very troubled past eighteen years in Stuttgart, with a knee injury which put an end to development and playtime, wrote Moa during 4.5 years in VIF. Now he have time to build up again and get back into the rhythm. Almost six months after he played club football (for Stuttgart’s 2nd team) last.

– The rhythm I lost during the last eighteen months in Germany. But that’s what’s nice with this contract. I have time to get back in shape. And when I’m fighting fit also comes rhythm. And then comes the goals, says Moa to Aftenposten.

Rekdal: – We need to be smart

For the pressure to come back from injury he experienced at times abroad, does not exist in Oslo east.

– We have to be smart in pairing our MOA, so it is not tipping over. It is important that we give him playing time, but it is equally important that we give him the right dosage when it comes to playtime, says Rekdal.

But he needs a striker who can translate VIFs offensive game in goals . It has tugged considerably more for this year’s peaks VIF sharpener Deshorn Brown, Daniel Braaten and Elías Már Ómarsson compared with last year’s 25 target discovery Vidar Örn Kjartansson. There hopes Moa to contribute when the mold is picking up. And Rekdal believes Moas arrival can ease the pressure in the other strikers.

When the tip even spoke with Aftenposten had not Sunday’s game against league leaders Rosenborg have been the subject yet.

– We’ll see about I will be with there.

– Rekdal says you should play.

– Hehe. Okay. Good. It is he who is boss. It will be good to get going again. It’s cool that we encounter Rosenborg at Lerkendal, it will be a nice game. But for us it does not matter who we meet. We will play three important points and think most of ourselves, says 29-year-old who turns 30 in October.

He sat on the bank in the season finale in Germany for Stuttgart in spring. But let not catching up in some of the fighting. The last time he was involved in a struggle for Stuttgart’s best was in February 2014. However, after injury and act ingens period believes Kjetil Rekdal that Moa is in good condition.

– I think he looks very nimble out. He is in good physical condition. What he lacks is fighting, we shall help him, says VIF coach.
