Reacting to the “sensational” Mourinho speech – Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet): Chelsea’s 3-1 home defeat to Southampton being hotly debated. It does very much also José Mourinho’s interview after the game.

The Portuguese manager started uninvited on a seven minutes and ten seconds long defense speech, in which he surprisingly show took up the question of its own future.

– I can imagine what people are talking about, so I will make it clear that: 1. I will not run away from responsibility. 2. If the club wants me away, they have to kick me. Becoming champion this season is going to be difficult but I am convinced that we will be the top four. 3. I think the club faces a possible crossroads in their history: If the team kicking me, they’ll kick the best manager Chelsea had. Kicking me, they send a signal that these results are only managerial mistakes, says Mourinho.

Attacks judges

Against Southampton took Chelsea the lead with a beautiful free kick by Willian. After scoring the little Brazilian acted however things were about the guests, who in the second half humiliated Mourinho form weak men.

When Match best player, Sadio Mané, sent Southampton the lead after 61 minutes, Chelsea fell completely together. Better were it not that Graziano Pelle put the 3-1 17 minutes from time.

Mourinho also a Chelsea side who capitulated in every possible way, but he was not satisfied with the pain.

– In the first half we had control, but after the first goal we get it hard. At halftime I told the players that they should take it easy, that there was no need to rush. But after we did not get the penalty in the second half, collapsed players. They are so far down, they collapsed, said Mourinho, who also attacked the English judiciary:

– The judges are afraid to judge in favor of Chelsea. 1-1 we have a clear penalty, which we did not get. About judges will punish me, there is no problem for me, but I will say this because I think the players and the supporters deserve better. I’ll say it again: The judges are afraid to give Chelsea penalties. Why? Because it always being questioned about it from you (media). Now we also Diego Costa suspended because of photos that have been displayed. The penalty kick we should have today is absolutely vital.

– I’m the best

Mourinho also contacted several times to the staff at Chelsea, which he believes must be to pull in the same direction as himself.
The Portuguese, who also stated that he considers himself to be the world’s best manager, is optimistic that the team can secure a top four place as long as he is allowed to continue.

– I will continue to work. You know that I have a great confidence and a big ego, I consider myself to be the best. Having the worst results in my career hurt me. It hurts me as a professional and it hurt me on Chelsea’s behalf, said Mourinho.

After the interview did not wait for the reactions themselves. Morten Langli was one of many who commented defense speech of Mourinho.

– Ages sickest manager interview, writes football expert on Twitter.

– Sensational

TV 2 profile Erik Thorstvedt also think the scene was special. Goalkeeper Legend looks partly speech as a clear message from Mourinho to individual in the team.

– He feels things are starting to fall apart. I think it is quite a sensation when he stands and talks about the fear of getting fired, says Thorstvedt subchannel broadcast, before colleague Petter Myhre addresses Mourinho’s attack on the judiciary.

– This is not first time he is talking about conspiracy theories. There he is very keen when it abuts. It is part of “coaching” his, says Myhre, before Thorstvedt takes over:

– I think he’s doing this for two reasons. 1. He will put pressure on the judges. 2. He is trying to create an internal cohesion by saying that everyone else is against Chelsea.

Should be allowed to continue

Myhre and Thorstvedt also agree that Mourinho should be renewed confidence as Chelsea manager .

– Yes, because he is one of the world’s best coaches, says Myhre.

– They won two trophies last season. Giving he kicked out on the basis of this here would be absolutely ridiculous. I think it would have been fighting sin. I want to see what Mourinho doing now, how to turn this here, says Thorstvedt.
