Rosenborg could settled. Then came the giant downturn – Dagbladet.no

• Rosenborg – Dnipro 0-1

LERKENDAL (Dagbladet) What letdown for Rosenborg. Having held last season’s finalist in the Europa League, Ukrainian Dnipro, away cut chances in almost 80 minutes the guests were given an opportunity – and scored.

Dnipro came around to the left and at the front post put the tip Selezniov finish was Andrè Hansen.

A minute earlier, Rosenborg a huge chance when Holmar Eyjólfsson gets into the bar from a few meters after tackle.

Only half chances
In the 1st half, Rosenborg full control defensively, guests never managed to get through a safe and secure RBK team. Closest was the perhaps when Andre Hansen strikes on a tilbakespill but cleared up in their own mistakes.

Forward did not create Rosenborg nor earth. It was with some half dangerous shooting opportunities from Tobias Mikkelsen, Fredrik Midtsjø and Pål Andre Helland.

The latter came incidentally never again, after the break, but was replaced by Yann-Erik deLanlay.

captain back
first half of the 1st half had Dnipri more ball, but still without creating chances. Rosenborg were imprecise and stationary and also failed to produce opportunities. Strong winds and a smooth turf did not easy for teams.

20 minutes before the end came Captain Mike Jensen on the field after having to start on the bench with stomach problems earlier in the day.

But it was not for Rosenborg. They were unable to break into several chances and had to go

crestfallen off the pitch after losing the first home game of the Europa League.
