Therefore, not summer quite like it is for us.

break in hard training

Emil Hegle Svendsen’s 30th birthday was a welcome break for the invitees. And invited of course brothers Bo – Tarjei and John. All three pulls it off as the summer’s peak.

– It was a fantastic celebration. One is the 30 only once. Lots of garden activities and bathing jumping. Great fun, says Johannes Thingnes Bø which also highlights the celebration of her grandmother’s 85 birthday in Stryn as a brilliant family business.

Hardt must have happened on the 30th anniversary since Svendsen yet have birthday marks in the form of a fading blåveis.

– We can call it a bathing accident, says 30-year-old self and grins. Trønder was 30 years on July 12, and the celebration was added next Saturday.

But party is the exception in this important training period.

– I’ve had a good training this summer. You can take an occasional day off occasionally, but it never gets time to some longer periods of free, says Emil Hegle Svendsen.

Home Stryn

Bo brothers have combined training with visits home in Stryn. It is mostly about staying close to the tent when almost the entire winter season live in a sports bag.

– In July it has been fully focused on training and on what will happen in Holmenkollen in March next year, said Tarjei Bo.

He has obviously done something right in the summer. He was best Norwegian in uphill race on roller skis in Lysebotn Thursday and he was only

beaten by Martin Fourcade in Friday’s biathlon competition on roller skis in Sandnes center.

Also Emil Hegle Svendsen thinks he has got a training schedule this summer that have been far more intense and inspired than a year ago.
