MJØNDALEN – BÆRUM 4-1 AET

MJØNDALEN (Aftenposten): Finally, Magnus Sylling Olsen, Joackim Solberg Olsen and Sanel Kapidžić the great heroes of the brown-clad.

– Moral and efforts were completely incredible. It’s a great bunch – a fellow gang! We are not the world’s best players, but we’re pretty darn good at this level, says Topsham coach Vegard Hansen after the game.

– I have never been involved in anything like game. Never. To come back like that just before the end, getting a man sent off, and then score three goals in extra time – it’s amazing.

In the first 90 minutes wasted Topsham with chances, while Bærum was effective. But after 120 minutes it was still the brown that could cheer the loudest.

Topsham beat Fredrikstad 2-0 at home in their first qualifier, while Bærum struck Kristiansund 2-0 away from home. Thus the stage was set for the battle between the teams that finishes respectively third and fifth place in this year’s first division – fight for the right to meet with Fire in a double payment.

Topsham seemed lit in the opening, and after seven minutes of play it was not far away that it was 1-0 to the home side. A ball was turned into the box where Magnus Sylling Olsen squeezed the whole volley but the shot went just past the post to Bærums keeper.

wasted in front of goal

And it was Mjøndalen it went in for the most part, but ten minutes before the break it was Bærums trip to innovate. When did tip Andreas Aalbu a great opportunity to send the visitors in the guide, but alone in front of goal he ladles the ball on and off.

Goals and red cards

Topsham started brightly in the second half too. A good and playful Vamouti Diomande let in from the left, but in front of goal missed two brown overlaid on the ball.

And homemade kept wasting chances in the rain, while Bærum on his side was effective. After 75 minutes, Tokmac Chol Nguen down to the bye-line and found Kristoffer Kipperberg Tollås in front of goal. 0-1 – the game.

But Topsham persisted, and three minutes of extra time, tying the game at an own goal – after tremendous pressure from the home side. Thus, it was clear to extra innings, but without MJØNDALEN Gauseth got straight red card for a tackle on Nguen minutes before full time.

Three goals in extra-time

And after 108 minutes when the decisive goal. Sylling Olsen stole the ball inside the Bærums Penalty area and hammered it hard and beautiful goal from an angle – to great cheers from Topsham fans.

– It was very lovely to put into the goal! We make it too exciting, but it was great to turn the game around. It had been so incredibly miserable if we had lost. Now it will be very fun to meet fire and we have clearly a possibility, says Sylling Olsen.

After 116 minutes, the Topsham penalty Bærums keeper Grzegorz Flasza got a red card. So we had outfield William Warshaw goal and from eleven meters mark was Joackim Solberg Olsen sure.
