- Å ha dårlige forhold i en hel måned er første og forhåpentligvis siste gang for meg, sier alpinist Aksel Lund Svindal på sin blogg.
Han har sammen med alpintlandslaget vært på treningsleir i Argentina i hele september for å finpusse formen før sesongen starter for fullt. Det viste seg å være bomtur for alpinistene.
- Dette må være den verste treningsleieren jeg har vært på, sier Svindal.

Trenger snøgaranti
Høstsesongen er både viktig og avgjørende for alpinistene, som i år valgte å legge oppkjøringsperioden til Ushuaia i Argentina. Et sted som vanligvis gir snøgaranti på høstsesongen.
- Er man et sted lenge nok får man til slutt noe godt ut av det. Derfor valgte vi å være der i hele perioden, forteller Svindal.
Årets oppkjøring var likevel noe annet. Høye temperaturer og regnbyger er årsaken til at Svindal nå ser tilbake på sin dårligse sesongoppkjøring noensinne.

Håper på bedre måneder
Med få måneder igjen til sesongen håper likevel Svindal å komme i rute, og forteller at han nå satser på bedre forhold i oktober og november.
- Forhåpentligvis får vi litt kvalitetstrening og en morsom sesong med ski, avslutter alpinisten.

– This is what he can. He has the inner hungry. He is on 20 hours a day for the worst, so it can go for months.
– Petter has very faith that rallycross will be the next big thing in motorsports. He believes that rallycross will take over and become the number two in the world in motorsport after Formula 1.

– To be a world champion in two motorsport disciplines is a major achievement. One can highlight Sébastien Loeb, who has won the World Rally Championship nine times.
