‘Moi’ sent to Molde cupfinalen – Aftenbladet.no

Molde’s leading scorer ruled by a stunning one-man performance.

Mohamed “Moi” Elyounoussi has blasted 12 goals for Molde in the series this season, and Wednesday night he was the big hero when the sovereign series leader was ready for another cup final at Ullevaal.

It had been a dreary performance as “Moi” – out of nothing – showed up four minutes from time. The young man gave a boost to the left, shaking off an opponent then buried Quotes-keeper with an ice-cold shutdown.

Cheers scenes afterwards told all about how much the goal meant – both for the players and the support. The series largely settled, the Cup final a fantastic motivation autumn.

– It was very nice to see the ball go into the net. I do not know if it’s my main goal ever, but it is certainly a goal I will long remember, says Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Captain Daniel Berg Hestad was impressed by the 20-year-old after the game.

– The best team wins, I mean. We worked hard, and so we knew we had individualists who could decide, says Berg Hestad humorous took credit for Elyounoussis crucial goal:

– It is first and foremost a very good an assist from me, said the captain with a smile.

– Hehe, no, it was not done scoring. He cuts in front – he’s very good at it – and put it in the opposite corner. It’s fantastic! Fearless youth, it is fun to see.



Tam league leader

Molde delivered no big 1st half in fall cold on Nadderud. Missed by Vegard Forren central defense and Fredrik Gulbrandsen on top was striking, and Molde seemed a bit toothless in the face of the cup final horny carrying.

It was Molde who came to the game’s first chance when it was played three minutes. A corner kick from Per Egil Flo ended up in the legs to Joona Toivio, which melt into a half-volley from five yards. The ball went high.

The match went back and forth and after 13 minutes was Stabæk extremely close to gaining the lead. Franck Boli tricked Martin Linnesstranda and sped into Moldes 16-feet from the left. Speedy Boli then sent a shot that Ørjan Håskjold Nyland should all but national team goalkeeper and slipped the ball was heading into the net. On line appeared, however, Flo up and cleared in the nick of time.

Tommy Høiland and Mohamed Elyounoussi came to a bar usable opportunities for Molde throughout the half, but the teams went to the locker room at 0-0.



Super Scoring

2. it was not any fireworks of a performance, but Molde got more opportunities to score. After 53 minutes, the audience got to see a moment of magic from Daniel Berg Hestad. Veteran feinted shots before he chipped Martin Linnesstranda free in the back. Linnesstranda narrowly on the fly – just over the crossbar.

Ten minutes later it was Daniel Chima Chukwu who took after excellent work from Martin Linnesstranda on Molde’s right. Chima direct shot from ten yards out but had a sturdy backpack and put it sky high.

After 86 minutes Molde finally got something to cheer about. Top scorer Mohamed Elyounoussi shrugged off an opponent out on the left and put speed ahead. “Moi” cut then into the 16-yard box, before he placed the ball freezing to the right of the Mande Sayouba and goals from eight to nine yards.

Magne Hoseth played the whole game against his former employer, without show off appreciably.

– We saw two teams that certainly would not lose, and it was a close game. Although I can not enjoy myself on behalf of old teammates now, then I do of course when things have settled, says Magne Hoseth.

– We can not create enough chances and when we manage not to beat Molde. Elyounoussi had not been run 70 feet from me, I would have hung over his neck. I had been booked on it.

Stabæks Morten Skjønsberg think bærum team was the best in the first place.

– We fight well, but it does not quite. We were the best in the first place, I think, and it would be good to get a goal there. In the second half we did not get all the way to the game we want.
