Can relegated after a points penalty, but the energy is there little to say on – Dagbladet.no

Ullevaal Stadium (Dagbladet): Start and Viking still has the knife at his throat because of the poor economy. It emerged as football president Yngve Hallén and head of club license in NFF, Rune Nordhoug, this afternoon presented the status of the club economy of Norwegian football based on figures reported by the clubs for the first half of 2015.

A number Tippeliga and OBOS league clubs are placed in so-called red zone, which means that they have to create an action plan for how the economy will improve, but none of them was punished with a points penalty.

However, it was top league club Amazon Grimstad, which puts the southern club in a extremely challenging position.

Can relegated

Ladies’ team has been in the red zone for over a year, but deprived one point now because the club has not reached its targets in the action plan. It is dramatic for Amazon, which is in great danger of relegation two rounds before the end:

After point move today are made with only 14 points. The same last placed Medkila but with much weaker goal difference. Up to Sandviken 10th separates the three points.

Amazon Grimstad has again placed fourth Stabæk and sixth placed Klepp in the series. In Toppserien promoted last place down, while the next worst team out into qualifying.

Will roll up our sleeves

Hans Inge Sævareid, Chairman of Amazon Grimstad, tells Dagbladet that he gave the girls the bad message yesterday.

– The girls were naturally disappointed, but they said that now it is up to them to save space. They are ready to roll up our sleeves. We are ready to turn the frustration and disappointment of energy and enthusiasm, says Sævareid Dagbladet.

Amazon complained basically a club license Committee’s decision on points penalty, but Appeals for club license decided to maintain the sentence.

It accepts Chairman Sævareid.

– We can not say anything on the Norwegian Football Association rules. This is about the club has old liabilities. The reason we get points penalty is that debt repayment is slower than the action plan suggests. It’s not that we do not safeguard our commitments today, he says to Dagbladet.

Long-term plan

Amazon Grimstad, founded as late as in 1999, owns neither own court or clubhouse, but has a loan of about one million, dating from the first years in the club’s life. That means a penny in debt becomes a crown in negative equity.

– Drifstbudsjettet ours is of approximately three million a year, so therefore it takes time to repay the million we have in debt, says Sævareid.

The chair did not feel that Amazon gives Norwegian club football a bad reputation.

– We will bring order to this without asking for debt restructuring. We have a long term plan. I do not think we have brought football into disrepute, and I’m happy and proud because we have not received financial assistance from private creditors, says Sævareid.

• Amazon Grimstad next match comes at home against Klepp 31 . October.
