Becomes new Bjoergen triumph? This stands on the World Cup program in Falun Saturday – Fædrelandsvennen

Today’s exercises, profiles and highlights.

10:00: COMBINED LAYER PRINT. LARGE GROUND + 2 x 7.5 KM

Germany has been brilliant so far, which means that the black and yellow are seen as favorites in this exercise. Johannes Rydzek won individually in normal ground while Ttskland won the team competition in the normal hill.

Austrian Bernhard Gruber won Gundersen, but who will step up as the team’s second husband, is unclear.

Lagsprinten shift is done with two athletes on each team, both have to jump and go cross country afterwards. Norway has won both times this exercise has been passed in this year’s World Cup.

13.00: CROSS COUNTRY, 30KM CLASSIC WOMEN

After a convincing relay showed the Norwegian women that they are the best, especially with good skiing underfoot. That impression is they looking to repeat Saturday.

Very first time this exercise is being held in championships. No history to display.

Cross Country:

Marit Bjoergen reigning champion in the exercise. This is the distance Therese Johaug got her real breakthrough – in Sapporo in 2007. The once took 18-year-old bronze, behind Kristin Stormer Steira and Virpi Kuitunen.

Four to later she won the distance, but then in skating . Marit Bjoergen also got a breakthrough when she won this distance during the World Cup in Oberstdorf in 2005. She had already gathered two gold medals in the championship, but turned out for the first time emerged as distance runner.
