Velta became world champion: – Could barely stand on his legs when I realized it – Aftenposten

The Norwegian won with 0.4 points after two giant leaps.

FALUN / TRONDHEIM: With shining eyes thanks to a stirred Velta trainer Stockl after gold was a fact.

– Thank you for trusting, said Velta to coach.

Velta led after the first half and delivered goods also in others. Great jumping initially

Bardal climbed

Bardal jumped 91.5 meters in the second half and put pressure on competitors. Several of them could not handle it and Trønder ending at 6th place in the comeback after wrist fracture.

Fannemel did an okay jump, but 89 meters was not enough to climb to the top and he had to settle ninth place. Anders Jacobsen ended on 19th.
