Snip, snap snout for Rangers – Dagsavisen

Rangers was incredibly agile and grabbed the game directly. After just 1:02 minutes sent Rick Nash guests in the lead after Zuccarello had kept the puck inside the zone.

The management remained at 9.50 when Sweden Carl Hagelin tied the game at 1-1 by scores his first sluttspillmål Pittsburgh and the first against the Rangers after the transition this summer. The Swede is a good friend of Zuccarello.

It was not long before the Rangers were at the forefront again. This time it was Dominic Moore via rod and skate Patric Hörnqvist outmaneuvered Matt Murray.

Phil Kessel tied the game at 2-2 with a brilliant wrist shot that whizzed header via Lundqvist lever right up to the right of the net.

unraveling

in the middle period, the Rangers break down, and Brian Rust got all the time he needed to surprise Rangers keeper after he made it 3-2. Matt Cullen rose to 4-2 just before the battle was half played. Zuccarello and his teammates fought bravely, but were unable to rise again this time.

The little Swede had a few good attempts, but never got the puck in the goal behind Murray. Gradually, the air completely out of Rangers balloon.

Symptomatic of the fight was that just as the Rangers had played hideout and bombarded Pittsburgh goal came homemade on a transitional and Conor Sheary set 5-2. Rangers managed largely to stem the Penguins’ star variety, but Rust was hard to stop and did 6-2 goal.

Lundqvist handed goal and Antti Raanta in the third period, and Chris Kreider reduced in the third period, but closer came not Rangers.

Out of shape?

Swedish hockey experts to Viasat, including second Håkan Södergren, believed that Lundqvist is a little out of shape and not as lightning fast as before. In the first game against the Penguins got the Swedish star goalkeeper stick to teammate Marc Staal through the mask and onto his right eye. Naturally, not NHL pros blaming injuries.

Last season beat Rangers out Pittsburgh 4-1 on aggregate. For two seasons ago, made back from 1-3 and advanced 4-3 on aggregate.

Thus ended Zuccarello year’s NHL season with 61 målpoeng. He had 26 goals and 35 assists.

With Saturday exit can Zucca also be relevant for Norway during the World Cup in Russia in May. There will probably be resolved shortly.
