- Unrealistic expectations for Ronny Deila in Celtic – TV 2

On Wednesday morning came the expected confirmation that Ronny Deila leaving record as Celtic manager after the season.

As TV2 experienced earlier this week the 40-year-old feel thwarted in part of the team, while he is tired persistent criticism from a bloodthirsty Scottish tabloid press, former club legends and supporters.

Myhre: – Inflated

TV 2 football expert Petter Myhre seems news was sad, although it was a «notified murder.”

– It’s a shame. Primarily for Ronny themselves but also for Norwegian football. We need coaches and players who put Norwegian football on the map abroad, he said to TV 2.

Deila has been under intense pressure in recent months, and cuptapet for arch rival Rangers really nailed it to overflow for both supporters and former Celtic legends.

Celtic steer towards their fifth consecutive league title – the second under Deila – but it’s not good enough for demanding fans and experts in Scotland. The absence of success in Europe, and exit from both the League Cup and FA Cup this season speaks against Deila.

Myhre stated that he sees as unrealistic expectations.

– Deila has delivered exactly to expect a Celtic coach. He takes three titles in two seasons, and everyone else would be more than good enough. The problem is that expectations in Celtic is artificially high, he said.

– Celtic was a European top club a few years ago, but not anymore now. Club name is greater than the quality. Playing material is weaker than for many years, and then one can not expect more than that Deila achievements. Especially in Europe, says Myhre.

– The worst Celtic team I have seen

Former Celtic player Vidar Riseth completely agree with TV2 expert.

– the Celtic team that is there now is the worst I’ve seen. Perhaps the worst ever. But it’s not Ron’s fault. He has done a good job there, but has been very difficult working conditions, says the former national team player to TV 2.

– Ronny has only been allowed to bring young players, but still managed to build a good team last season. So were the best players sold without Ronny got funds to recoup substitutes. Then it becomes very difficult, says Riseth.

43-year-old shouldered the green and white Celtic shirt on between 1998 and 2000, and played a team with stars like Henrik Larsson, Chris Sutton, Mark Viduka and Ian Wright .

Now called Celtic profiles Leigh Griffiths, Stefan Johansen, Callum McGregor and Dedrik Boyata.

– when I was there taken Celtic into one star after another. It can not be the team to do now, but still applies the same ambitions still. It is completely unrealistic. A coach can not do magic, either, says Riseth.

– Ron gets a new job offer in the morning

delicious exit joins the ranks of Norwegian coaches – Ståle Solbakken, Henning Berg and Ole Gunnar Solskjær – who either get fired or forsake his British club before time.

Riseth is still not worried delicious legacy and immediate job future.

– I guarantee you that Ron gets a new job in Europe. I would think he gets a job offer already tomorrow. He will remain a sought after trainer, and can leave Celtic with a straight back, says Riseth.

It is also Myhre agree.

– Ron will continue to be a sought-after man. I think he fine can be relevant for several clubs next season, including several big clubs in Scandinavia, he said.

– I do not think this destroys neither the reputation of Norwegian coaches or Deila itself. Soccer Professional people that comes with seeing that Deila has performed well under the conditions, says Myhre.

Now the question is who takes over as Celtic manager this summer. Riseth is worried about his old club.

– I think it will be very tough to recoup a good replaces Ronny. There have been such talk of a man who David Moyes. But he will of course make demands on the team as they can not deliver. I therefore do not believe they will be able to recoup a big name, says Riseth.
