Bjoerndalen lose the first elevation collection – NRK

World Championship gold

Monday was he in Drammen, a scant three quarters away home on Simostranda, to share out professional biathlon rifles to four clubs through the new Ole Einar Bjoerndalen Fund.

While he, in a torrential rain, was photographed with young and aspiring biathletes, hung the big question in the air: Can he take a World Championship gold at Holmenkollen for this summer?

– Am I in top shape and has good skiing, I’ll be completely up front, says biathlon king with eight Olympic gold.

He knows more than anyone else that he now must be patient to catch up.

– There is a job to be done, but now it’s just to be patient as it will get. I hope to be able to train properly again in about a week, he said.
