Stabæk selling jewel if the price is right – Aftenposten

Adama Diomande scored his 16th and 17th league goals and is more attractive to other clubs than ever.

SANDEFJORD (Aftenposten.no): boss, Bob Bradley, is glad that he has a player who is performing so well in battle after battle, he is not, however, pleased that the Elite Series big surprise this season could disappear before the month of August is over.

Do not like the idea

– It is a tough situation for us if Diomande leave. We must try to play football as well without him as we’ve played throughout this season. It will be a tough task for the whole team. Meanwhile, sporting director Inge André Olsen-constantly looking for reinforcements, says Stabæk coach Bob Bradley after the victory against Sandefjord.

He can not praise his striker.

– Diomande is not only goalscorer but a real team player who struggle throughout the fight, says Bradley.

Diomande even met not just media after the match. Then he lay straight out in Stabæk locker with ice packs on head stressed muscles.

– We’re fighting for a medal in the series and is in the semifinals of the Cup. It is clear that a coach will always keep their best players, says Bradley.

After only four minutes of the match showed Adama Diomande why there are representatives of other clubs on every Stabæk match to see what he really is good for. He scored a wonderful goal.

– We do not sell, but the price is right, we have to consider it, says sports director in Stabæk Inge André Olsen-Aftenposten. He was present at the stadium to watch Stabæk still winning and still have a chance to catch up with Rosenborg.

Interest multiplayer

Olsen can tell that there is interest from outside for several players to Stabæk. But he would not say which clubs in question and whether it actually exists concrete bid for some of the players, Diomande included. He will not say how high a bid must be for them to consider selling. Diomande has contracted with Stabæk to 2017.

– The club is not obliged to sell. And it is anyway not talk about anything cheaply, says Olsen.

Sandefjords nightmare

The game was probably a nightmare for Sandefjord. After only four minutes put super tip to Stabæk 1-0 and then Cole Grossmann scored after 12 minutes, and gave the visitors the lead 2-0, it all bleak. Sandefjord was completely played off in 20 minutes.

They got up on her feet and halfway into the second half they had equalized Stabæk management.

Two criminal situations, a penalty

But score 2-2, two controversial situations. Only then Diomande was, according to Judge Espen Berntsen, fields within the 16-yard box and Stabæk was awarded a penalty heated protests from Sandefjord.

The same Berntsen was no more popular then the stadium, Sandefjord-bench included, would have a penalty when Kjell Rune Sellin on the way through possibly precipitated by Birger Meling. Berntsen waving it off.

– The penalty that Stabæk got was a little questionable. The situation when Sellin was brought, was clearly punish, said a specified Sandefjord-coach Lars Bohinen after the battle.
