Height, which was the second exercise in the heptathlon, was no success for Marcussen. She went over 1.68 meters, but strikes in all three attempts at 1.71 meters, and thus she ended six centimeters behind her personal best.

– I’m happy
Marcussen has the Norwegian record in heptathlon at 6226 points from the World Championships in Osaka in 2006.
– I’m already happy. It is my fifth World Cup, and I struggled to get here. I am in my lifetime best form and it will be exciting to see what I can achieve, said Marcussen told NRK before the start.
The very fastest in opening practice was Dutch Nadine Visser. She ran to 12.81 seconds and set a personal record.
