– I am “fight happy.” I really want to be involved in the project here, said Mohammed “Moa” Abdellaoue happy.
The striker, who has scored seven goals for the Norwegian national team, has just signed a contract of 4.5 year old club Vålerenga, the 2019 season.
– I am very happy to be back. I want to help and want to help young people (players) who are here. I will return to the level I was before, continues 29-year-old.
It was VG who first reported that the former Vålerenga striker is ready for his former club.
Injury Plagued
Mohammed Abdellaoue left Valerenga in 2010, in favor of Hannover 96, where he spent several seasons had great success. In 2013 he left the club in favor of Bundesliga rival Stuttgart. Where it was with poor 12 league games and one goal.
Moa was for several years seen as Norway’s obvious first choice striker square but several injury problems in recent years has put 29-year-old something back. Now he’s back in good old scoring form.
– I’m sure I can do it. But then I have to be involved in running sessions to Kjetil Rekdal says Abdellaoue with a big smile, and is supported by the boss.
– Moa is far from “over the hill”. He has had some injuries, but we will manage to build him up again, says Rekdal.
– Extremely proud and happy
Vålerenga vying for a medal in the elite series this season. But coach believes Moa should be helping to make the team to the country’s top teams.
– I am extremely proud and happy to have him home, this is long-term. We will be number one in Norway, says Kjetil Rekdal engaged.
– Moa will be a leader in the group. We have young players coming up and forward, and they can learn a tanned pro.
Abdellaoue signed the contract with the general manager Stig Ove Sandnes at a press conference Friday at 14. The tip is not included when Vålerenga meetings Tromsø tonight. Probably will debut in a friendly against Real Madrid Sunday.
