Arsenal sovereign against last year’s final opponent – Aftenposten

Hull was never near revenge for last year finaletap.



Arsenal – Hull City 2-0:

It’s FA Cup and only CPC matters but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who got on his coat with surprising ease Sunday had enough time seen that there was a less exciting game.

It started already after four minutes as soon Hulls 40-year goalkeeper Steve Harper, had in action with a bone parade of best brand. Joel Campbell was completely free, but Harper is a patient soul and he waited out Costa Rica striker.

Arsenal ran a veritable onslaught against Hull goal. Alexis Sanchez lobbed the ball over, he rounded the goalkeeper and was stopped on the line, he fired shots Harper saved both lightweight and tough parades.

But Arsenal have a lofty captain . 20 miutter out initially he rose into the air and headed a corner from just Alexis goal.

In the second half continued Arsenal running over Hull, but they had to wait until eight minutes remained before Alexis finally found the net. From 16 meters he got time to take aim, and with a well placed inside shot he put the ball in the corner behind Harper.

Missions completed Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez and Arsene Wenger.

In the 90th minute came Hulls only chance, but Tom Ince cannon roamed cross bar and went outside.

– We missed some chances but had to be patient and do our job in a professional manner. As long as we kept a clean sheet, one could sense that we would get one to. It came late, but we handled the situation well, said Wenger according to NTB.

PS: Chelsea won 3-0 over Watford. Willian, Loic Remy and Kurt Zouma scored goals.
