United salvaged a draw despite incredible Stoke-chances – Dagbladet.no

• Stoke – Manchester United 1-1 (1-1)

(Dagbladet): After an early Stoke-goal and a huge chance that would have given the hosts 2-0, United sent back and secured points sharing in the first football game.

Miserable start

2015 got a nightmare start in Manchester United’s case. After only one and a half minutes into Ryan Shawcross sending homemade in routing.

Shawcross got completely unmarked ball at his feet and bumped ball in the net behind David de Gea.

Later was also United’s defense of suture when Mame Biram Diouf feinted past Johnny Evans, wait and fired. Finish, but Stoke could seriously have shaken United by doubling the lead.

However, it took not long before United responded and both teams were equally. Also United goal came after a corner, where Michael Carrick ball backwards to Radamel Falcao as from short range could put the ball in the goal.



Cheated penalty

After that it was two teams that fought to get a grip on the match. Stoke had some fight opportunities after rounding one hour of play, and was most likely cheated penalty as Peter Crouch struck the ball in hand on Chris Smalling.

But Stoke did not stop there. Suddenly there was a pretty hot pace in the settlement, but completions Stoke would thus not the goal. A header from Crouch hit the post.

At the end it was United who pushed, but did not target they needed to take all three points.
